Hi everyone! My name is Riddhi (she/her) and I am beyond excited to serve as the External Vice President for the AMWA Berkeley chapter this term! I’m a third-year majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Medical Biology and Physiology. I am minoring in Global Studies with an emphasis in Asia and minoring in Bioengineering. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio and moved to the East Bay in high school. Outside of working as a medical assistant at an IVF clinic, doing PICU research at UCSF CHO, and volunteering, I am also part of some other organizations on campus including ALCSI, UCB Deewani, and PMHS. In my free time I like dancing, baking, watching Bollywood movies, traveling, and spending time with my brother! I joined AMWA and the CWH committee my freshman fall semester and I found such a supportive atmosphere and collaborative group of women who had the same goals as me. Some of my favorite AMWA memories include the big little brunch and creating a Period, PCOS, and Endometriosis Survey and Pamphlet for local Berkeley shelters with the CWH committee!! I served as AMWA’s public relations chair last year and I enjoyed bringing new initiatives to life, such as highlighting more awareness projects through each of our committees on our social media and creating more short-form content. I cannot wait to share my advice, make new connections, and continue my AMWA journey with all of you!
