Hi! My name is Sania (she/her) and I’m a third-year pursuing a major in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Medical Biology and Physiology, and a minor in Journalism. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, painting, and spending time with my dog Dude. I also lead the Berkeley chapter of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, and am on the editorial board for the Berkeley Scientific Journal. I joined AMWA in my first semester freshman year, was a part of the Cancer and Women’s Health Committee for 3 semesters, then the Internal Vice President for a year. My favorite AMWA memories include designing coloring pages for UCSF patient care kits the Fall Banquet, and spending time with my big! Throughout my experience at Cal so far, AMWA has always stood out as a consistently supportive and inspiring space that I love more each semester. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with this team to provide AMWA members with another wonderful year of opportunities, mentorship, and community. I look forward to meeting everyone and to another fantastic year together!
